Reseña del libro "Taking Cover"
"Taking Cover" is a novel about a mother and daughter who are, in their own separate ways, headed for trouble. Kathryn is an international teacher who brings her daughter, Taylor, to Kuwait for her senior year of high school. The mother hopes the strict edicts of the Muslim religion regarding drinking, drugging and sex will deter her wild daughter's habits. The young woman is a talented cartoonist who wants to write graphic novels, but to her mother's chagrin, she hasn't yet applied for college. Taylor tries to overcome her impulsive ways in Kuwait, but she meets an older Kuwaiti businessman and falls in love, despite the fact that he's about to marry his cousin in an arranged marriage. Meanwhile, Kathryn herself is walking a dangerous path, involved in the politics of the Arab country. She writes a blog about the human right violations in Kuwait, despite being warned that this could get her into a lot of trouble.
