Ten Things I Learned about God from My One-Year-Old Son (en Inglés) - Jeremy Crow

Throughout school and especially throughout my career, I have always made an effort to learn in every situation and from anyone I come in contact with. One's stature or accomplishments do not matter to me. I believe everyone has a valuable lesson I could learn from. I guess you could say I'm a perpetual student, just not always in an academic setting.

However, the inspiration for this book even surprised me.

While sitting contently in a church service at the Heartland Vineyard in Waterloo, Iowa, the pastor was offering a passionate perspective on how great the love God is for His children. As I listened, I felt a clear and distinct thought enter my mind, That's why I want you to have children, so you know how I feel about you.

While happily married and in my eventual plans, having a family was the last thing on my mind at the time. Yet at that moment, I was being challenged to learn from and glean wisdom from someone I hadn't even met and physically didn't even exist. The lessons I learned in the first few years of being a father have given me even more appreciation for our great Heavenly Father and how great His love is for us. So yes, through my propensity to learn from those and situations around me, I learned some of the best lessons about God from my one-year-old son.
