As Joan Gett went to bed that night, she couldn't help but think to herself, "Why are we studying history anyway! It's the past; can't we just move on?" Earlier in the day, she learned that Rome wasn't built in a day and some guy named Julius Caesar was stabbed to death on the Ides of March. Actually, she did think the stabbing part was cool along with the rest of her class consisting of all high school seniors. Jo, or Joanie, as her friends sometimes called her, was more interested in basketball, the latest fashions, and Classic Rock. She actually thought of her parents' choice of music was something cool people listened to and she loved every bit of it. As the night went by, little did Joan know that her senior year in high school was going to take a turn for the unexpected, link her with some unexpected friends, and land her with a fever.....jungle fever that is.
