Reseña del libro "The Ghost In The Stacks (en Inglés)"
Ashwood Public Library has four hundred and eleven feet of shelving, two ghosts, and one cat. Until the second Thursday in October, librarian Ellie Ward would have told you she knew where everything in it was. Then Footnote started scratching at the basement wall. What came out had been in there since 1925, still wearing a good suit. The bones belong to Silas Vance, the architect who designed the library before vanishing with fifty thousand dollars in construction funds. Ashwood has called him a thief for a hundred years. He would like a word about that. Now someone wants the library demolished. Urgently. Ellie has nine days to find out what really happened in that basement, and every witness has been dead for decades. The bigger problem? Two of them won't stop talking. Silas has a great deal to say about the brickwork, the cement, and the men who wanted to economize on both. About who put him in that wall, he will not say a word. He knows. He simply won't. Mr. Abernathy, the former head librarian, has opinions about everything else—especially Ellie's shelving. Footnote would like it noted that he found the body first. Perfect for readers who enjoy dry wit, warm characters, buried secrets, and ghosts who are far more opinionated than threatening. The Ghost in the Stacks is the first book in the Ashwood Library Mysteries.
