A written letter is a record of what we wanted to say and can be kept as a memory of that communication.The skill of letter writing is slowly being eroded as we all begin to use these modern ways of communicating with others and in some cases thousands as we use the social media often quite wrongly.The fact that letters were involved in these cold cases helped the detectives to come to terms with who and what they were investigating.
