Reseña del libro "The Limestone Takes (en Inglés)"

Jonas Keller died in Malta.

At least, that is what the paperwork says.

His body came home in a coffin that felt too light. His camera was listed as missing. His phone and watch were gone. The official explanation called it an accident, but Lena's father never accepted the weight, the inventory, or the silence that followed. For years, the Keller family lived around the wound of Jonas's death until the camera that was never recovered suddenly returned.

Then it began playing new footage.

Jonas appears in a limestone tunnel, blood at his mouth, alive enough to warn Lena not to come looking. Behind him, someone rings a bicycle bell. When Lena travels to Malta, she expects to find a hotel mistake, a forged video, a records problem, or one last cruel misunderstanding. Instead, she finds Room 617 in a building that has no such floor, a missing bike that returned wrong, a clerk who saw Jonas twice, a brass key tied with green thread, and a road beneath the island that does not return people whole.

As Lena follows the trail through hotel basements, parish archives, field rooms, cliff paths, death certificates, and objects trapped in limestone, she discovers that Jonas was not an isolated tragedy. Others have been taken, corrected, recorded, disputed, and returned incomplete. The hotel is not haunted in any ordinary sense. It is part of a larger system of roads, records, rooms, and payments that has learned how to use grief as an opening.

To save what remains of her brother, Lena must learn the one rule the limestone never understood: not every object is proof, not every return is mercy, and not every door should be answered.

The Limestone Takes is a supernatural horror novel about family grief, impossible records, missing bodies, haunted hotel rooms, and the terror of discovering that the dead may not want to be brought home.
