The Magic Mango is a children's story set in the village of Mitala, Uganda. It follows a curious and kind seven-year-old girl named Sitara, who lives with her grandparents. One day, after collecting mangoes from a tree, a mysterious, beautifully designed basket appears. Inside, Sitara discovers a magical mango stone she names Dodo.

Dodo proves to be no ordinary stone: it glows with rainbow colors, sings a soothing lullaby, eases pain, boosts Sitara's confidence at school, and even helps her grandmother heal. The story explores themes of kindness, believing in magic, inner strength, and the special bond between children and their guardians. It blends everyday Ugandan village life-streams, farms, coconut trees, and family routines-with gentle fantasy, culminating in Sitara becoming a flower girl at a wedding, where Dodo's magic helps her shine. The book ends with her grandmother lovingly dismissing Sitara's "stories," leaving a heartwarming sense of wonder.
