She is unaware that it is her relationship with the mysterious Ambrielle that is causing the queen's murderous attempts on her life.Despite the help and support of her unique friends, the mysterious shape-changing cat named Podgkins, Twig, a strange little Wickersnit who prefers the shape of a tiny spider, her friend Dogle, the wizard Azmodeus and a trapped queen dragon named Frynyth, Miri finds herself fighting to survive against the wrath of the spiteful queen in order to save the island and its people from ruin.
