Due to tragic events, the two friends leave Algiers for Paris just as the Second World War breaks out. Exceptional historical circumstances force them into making equally exceptional moral and ethical choices as they become involved with the French resistance active in the publishing houses, the theatres, the jazz clubs and the resistance camps in and around Paris, Lyon and Marseille.
