Reseña del libro "The Rain Between Two Lifetimes (en Inglés)"
The Rain Between Two Lifetimes begins when Eliza Thornton, a woman fleeing an arranged future controlled by her family's powerful industrial dynasty, climbs a remote mountain to reach the sealed monastery of Chùa Vô Vi. She believes she is escaping one kind of prison. Instead, she walks into a mystery that has haunted the mountain for forty years. The monastery is preparing for its annual vigil, but something is terribly wrong. The sanctum is sealed, the monks are frightened, and rain begins falling inside the ancient building. Hidden among forbidden records, Eliza discovers evidence that the monastery's famous miracle is not what generations of pilgrims have been told. With the help of Kai Harrison, a skeptical investigator carrying his own family's unresolved connection to the mountain, Eliza begins examining the forgotten journals of a novice named Lan. The records reveal suspicious maritime medicines, travel supplies, hidden preparations, and a disappearance disguised as a holy death. The deeper they investigate, the clearer the truth becomes. Lan was not a dying nun waiting for death. She was preparing to escape. The monastery elders erased her story and transformed her suffering into a sacred legend, using fear and superstition to conceal an old crime. But the mystery is more than historical. The unnatural rain is tied to an oath made in blood and iron, a lie preserved for decades until the mountain itself seems to demand that the truth be spoken. As water floods the sanctum and the monastery's secrets threaten to drown everyone inside, Eliza refuses to remain silent. Kai must confront the burden inherited from his family, while Eliza must finally confront her own fear of surrendering her future to another person's expectations. When the truth is finally acknowledged, the rain stops. What remains is not a ghost story, but the possibility of a new life. Eliza leaves the mountain no longer running from an arranged destiny, while Kai leaves behind the guilt and inherited promises that have haunted him. Together, they descend toward the southern sea-not as prisoners of the past, but as two people finally free to choose what comes next. The Rain Between Two Lifetimes is a mysterious, atmospheric romantic fantasy about buried history, forbidden truth, inherited guilt, second chances, and the courage to step beyond a life chosen by others.
