Man for ages has wondered as to from where he came, why is here on earth, and as to what is his destiny. Men and women live on this planet as if they are here for ever, and are even searching for other planets that could sustain life so that they can migrate there. There is also a constant yearning for better healthcare and improvement of medicine that can assist in longevity of life. It is when one is faced with an acute financial crisis, distress or illness that man looks beyond to find answers, and comes closer to God his creator. Alarm bells also start ringing when there is strife, disorder and threat of wars and destruction, that can even annihilate the whole human race. Mother Mary appeared to three children at Fatima in Portugal in the year 1917 calling upon her children to repentance and return to their God and savior. The evil one has power in this world because of advancement of science and technology that often leads us astray, believing in our own strength rather than the power of the eternal and ever loving God from whom we came and to whom we must return. Mother Mary beckons her children, the poor and abandoned children of Eve, like a hen that calls her little ones to return to her when there is danger lurking around, so that they will be safe under her mantle and under the shade of the tree of life. In reciting the Holy Rosary, one meditates on the entire story of redemption of man, one with the Holy Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Breath of God, led by the humble handmaid of the Lord who symbolizes the ultimate in surrender of oneself into the Holy Breath of God, quite unlike Adam and Eve who enticed by the evil one, tried to rebel against their creator. The Holy Beads are the most powerful weapon against the evil one, united in the Breath of the Creator, to love Him, worship Him and seek pardon and forgiveness for the sins that keep us away from Him.
