Lucinda Riley (Lisburn, Irlanda del Norte, 16 de febrero de 1965 – 11 de junio de 2021) fue una autora y actriz británica que conquistó a millones de lectores con sus novelas de ficción histórica y sagas familiares. Inició su carrera artística como actriz de teatro y televisión, pero una enfermedad la llevó a descubrir su pasión por la escritura a los 24 años, publicando su primera novela en 1992. Su obra más famosa es la saga Las Siete Hermanas, inspirada en la mitología griega y traducida a más de 37 idiomas. Entre sus libros más reconocidos destacan Las Siete Hermanas, El secreto de la orquídea y La carta olvidada.
