A novel set in England, UK, about Stanley, a young man who has trouble fitting in with people, but who appears to be making a success of his life despite this. A chance encounter with two young ladies on their way back to a new university term goes horribly wrong when a delightful evening turns sour. It seems Stanley may have some relevant history. But will that help others to solve the mystery he creates? Much of the action takes place in the Sun Room of a large house in the west of England, but the remaining action and the other location are bleak and dark, so the title belies the truth.
