Reseña del libro "The Surge. Uprising (en Inglés)"

The vault door buckled inward, a violent shriek of tortured metal echoing through the chamber. Thorne's men were about to breach. Candace didn't wait. She sprinted towards the hulking generator unit, her eyes fixed on the heavy-duty lever that controlled its primary output.
Elara watched, a mixture of fear and unwavering trust in her eyes, as Candace reached the generator. She knew Candace wouldn't make a move without a reason, and that reason, more often than not, was a desperate gamble.
The vault door gave way with a deafening CRUNCH, slamming inward. Silhouettes filled the opening - the dark, imposing figures of the Wardens, clad in reinforced armor, their weapons trained.
Leading them, stepping into the dim light of the vault, was Thorne. His presence filled the space, radiating an almost palpable aura of control. His face, framed by close-cropped, greying hair, was sharp, intelligent, and utterly devoid of warmth. His eyes, piercing and intelligent, scanned the vault, and when they landed on Candace and Elara, they narrowed with a cold, possessive gleam.
"Well, well," Thorne's voice resonated, smooth and deceptively calm, yet laced with an iron will. "It seems we have found some... unwelcome guests. And perhaps, something of considerable interest."
He gestured with a gloved hand, not towards Candace and Elara, but towards the rows of seed containers. His gaze lingered on them, a flicker of avarice and triumph crossing his features.
"A treasure trove," Thorne continued, his voice a low rumble that seemed to vibrate through the very bones of the depot. "Exactly as the whispers suggested. The seeds of a new world. And you two... are merely scavengers standing in the way of progress."
Candace met his gaze, her heart pounding a frantic rhythm against her ribs, but her expression remained unreadable. She didn't speak, but her silence was a defiance that Thorne clearly recognized.
Elara shifted her weight, the machete held loosely but ready. She was a coiled spring, waiting for Candace's signal, her loyalty a fierce, unwavering shield.
Thorne took a step forward, his boots crunching on the scattered debris. His Wardens fanned out, their weapons creating a bristling hedge of steel.
