It's Penny's story. Told by her, in her own language, the language of the Arkansas Ozark Hills. She tells of her life's joys and disappointments in a simple down home way. She tells of her sorrow when her best childhood friend and hopeful suitor goes to college out in California with the same intensity as when she tells of her first grown up love that came soon after. She tells of loss that takes her to California in search of peace of mind from her grief. She tells with honesty of her time in the Height Ashbury in San Francisco in 1968 and she tells with fond remembrance of the people she met there and loved there and never saw again. She tells of the troubled couple, Zeke and Rhonda and of their little boy Lionel and how she fought to keep that child with her after his parents committed suicide. In her telling, she delicately defines what her love means while answering for herself the only three questions that really matter about true love; 1) How much will you give to it? 2) How far will you go with it? 3)How long will you wait for it?
