Have you ever felt like you were trapped inside a dream? The Unhouse is a book aimed at both children and adults and is a story on two levels. Ivan finds himself on a journey to locate a magic pillow since he has heard a rumour that anyone who lays his head on this pillow will be given the gift of truly understanding dreams. However he unwittingly experiences more than he bargained for. Ivan has gone to live in the village of Sleepycroft with his father. The people in Sleepycroft are mostly asleep, a common human problem, but there is something different about this village. Within it there are two houses which are particularly abnormal. Both houses are the subject of gossip in the village but one of them intrigues Ivan because he has heard a rumour that somewhere inside is the magic pillow. It turns out that both strange houses in the village have been symbolic of something which Ivan has yet to find out ... Will he ever learn the meaning of dreams or will his curiosity prove to be a dangerous business?
