Simon Jimenez es un autor filipino-estadounidense de ficción especulativa. Obtuvo su Maestría en Bellas Artes en Emerson College, donde comenzó a trabajar en su primera novela. Su obra debut, "The Vanished Birds" (2020), es una ópera espacial que explora las conexiones humanas a lo largo de milenios. Esta novela fue nominada al Premio Locus a la Mejor Primera Novela y al Premio Arthur C. Clarke en 2021.

En 2022, Jimenez publicó "The Spear Cuts Through Water", una novela de fantasía que narra la travesía de dos guerreros y una diosa moribunda para derrocar a una familia real tiránica.
