IntroductionThis book is an original translation of: the Ring, Chapter 1, Scene 1 by Richard Wilhelm Wagner. The epic opera received performances internationally ever since it was first staged as a music drama in the Bayreuth Festspielhaus, 13-17 August 1876.My original lightbulb moment was to write the first Shakespearean Ring. I proceeded... However, after some time I discovered that it was not possible because of anachronisms.As I am an experience writer and publisher, it was decided to adopt and employ couplets, or the AABBCCDD etc. coupled rhyming scheme, as the poetic form for this book.
