Reseña del libro "The Widow's Half (en Inglés)"

He built the mill with his son. Then he went to law against his son's widow for it.Virginia, 1684. Jonathan Fisher comes ashore with his wife Rebeckah and their children to build a life on ground no Fisher has ever owned. Over thirty years he takes up land on Piscataway Creek, deeds his son Benjamin a plantation of his own, and with him raises a water mill that grinds for half the parish. Then Benjamin dies. And the old man goes to law against Benjamin's widow, Elizabeth, over the mill they built together.Drawn from the deeds, wills, patents and court orders that still survive in Virginia's archives, The Widow's Half is a novel of land and inheritance, of a family broken by its own bargain, and of the women whose signatures decided what the men's quarrels left behind. The Widow's Half is Book One of The Fishers of Virginia.
