The dinner table was a place of story telling; my father loved telling stories about his childhood where he grew up in his father's family owned bakery. My father always said that one of his greatest regrets, however, was never writing down any of my grandfather's recipes. When my grandfather passed away at a tragically young age, as did his magical presence in the kitchen. So, I wrote this book not only to learn and catalogue my father's recipes, but to do for my dad was he was never able to do for his. I want to have the ability to cook his dishes, taste them, and say, this tastes like dad for the rest of my life. Despite my father's upbringing in the bakery, all of the recipes in this book are delicious and healthy. So, cook and enjoy not only the food, but also the time spent with your loved ones, because you'll never truly guess how many things you too can learn at the dinner table.
