Weird stories are circulating that are dismissed by the local police. Then the third victim, a female student, goes awol from the local mortuary. Suddenly zombies are everywhere as the plague gets worse by the day. This is a case for Jason Hawk, paranormal investigator. Barricaded in a University building, he awaits a call from the local Mayor and he escapes in a helicopter just in time. At a mansion on the outskirts of the city, he joins the few known survivors. What is needed is information. Someone has to go back into Sheffield and visit the Victorian cemetery. Jason volunteers, thinking that zombies only come out at night. Amidst the gravestones, he finds otherwise... Fleeing from the zombie host, Jason discovers a group of schoolgirls isolated in a country house surrounded by zombie-infested territory. An all-girl orchestra has become stranded on a large estate. They have food and water but are without proper leadership. Now Jason finds he has problems of a different kind. The senior staff resent him while some of the girls are more than friendly. Jason tries to organize them, expecting the mansion to be attacked at any time but he can't stop himself being very attracted to one of the girls and the youngest member of staff. They soon become jealous of each other. As tempers fray, Jason goes looking for weapons and discovers something far worse than he had ever imagined... Jason had thought his small group had only to fear the undead. Soon he realizes that the living can be just as dangerous as zombies. When a helicopter lands on the estate there is hope of escape - then what Jason has feared all along duly happens...
