Toyota manufacturers have revealed that there are 907,000 affected cars which are mostly Corolla models, produced between December 2001 and May 2004. Further reports have shown that the affected cars possess airbags that could inflate improperly. The Japanese automaker Toyota industry has stated that the defective airbags could inadvertently inflate when the electronic signals damaged a chip in the part controlling them! Experts have analyzed the defects and have advanced that the airbag modules for the supplemental restraint system in certain Corolla and Corolla Matrix vehicles may have circuits susceptible to internal shorting. Hence, car analysts have said that a short could create an abnormal flow of current while also increasing heat and damaging the chips. It is crucial to note that these circuits could also experience an internal short that builds excessive heat which could damage the circuit resulting in spontaneous deployment of the front airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners...
