This volume focuses on trandisciplinarity. The contributions reveal how transdisciplinarity arises in the involvement of multiple disciplines and lay, experiential, traditional, and artistic sources of knowledge as various stakeholders interact-"communicate"-in an attempt to address the wicked problems arising from sustainability challenges-from planning to education, from soil salinity to whale populations.
