Kevin Warwick (Coventry, 1954) es un científico británico pionero en cibernética, inteligencia artificial y neurotecnología. Profesor emérito en las universidades de Reading y Coventry, es conocido por sus experimentos de integración entre el sistema nervioso humano y dispositivos electrónicos, lo que le valió el apodo de “el primer cíborg de la historia” . En 1998, se implantó un chip en el brazo que le permitió controlar dispositivos a distancia, y en 2002 conectó su sistema nervioso a internet, logrando transmitir señales neuronales entre él y su esposa.

Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran Inteligencia Artificial: Lo básico (2023) y March of the Machines: The Breakthrough in Artificial Intelligence (1997), donde anticipa el ascenso de las máquinas inteligentes y sus implicaciones para la humanidad.
