UNBURIED is the story of a woman who refuses to remain buried in someone else's version. Cecilia Carnevale enters the manuscript of Octávio, a man officially dead, yet alive enough to lie and be hunted, and shifts its centre of gravity: he is not the one narrating the fall, the escape and the reconstruction. She is the one opening the folders, reorganising evidence, tracking hotels, digital access records, hidden funders and legitimate causes used by interests that prefer to operate under clean names.

Between Venice, Trieste, Ljubljana, Vienna, Zurich, Porto, Braga and Chiclana, the book combines legal thriller, intimate espionage and romance. There are real consumers, manipulated associations, Swiss validators, hotel rooms, cloud documents and a question running through everything: who controls the truth when everyone only needs part of it?

Cecilia does not write to save Octávio, nor to destroy him. She writes to correct the order of events and recover the place that was stolen from her. UNBURIED is a novel about power, guilt, desire and authorship. A hard, distrustful book, where love absolves no one and the truth is fractured.
