While imprisoned, Serena befriended Margaret, a white goblin, also known as the Pearl of Wisdom. Both women are forced to into being betrothed to the hideous Goblin King. The Standridge brothers, planned to rescue Serena but she refused to leave Margaret behind. Fate intervened when Jarrod, the youngest brother submitted to the pull of Margaret's glowing energy. After their rescue, the goblin King waged battle with the Standridge brothers to reclaim his Brides. The Demoness, Tryxyxss, in her jealous rage over Quint's marriage joined King Odon to destroy the Standridge brothers once and for all.
