UNEXPECTED CONSEQUENCES is an anthology of three stories of varying lengths. The first story in the anthology is entitled TO BE MYSELF AGAIN, something Jane Bennet wanted after she had been attacked by a person she thought was a friend. We cannot always tell who is friend or foe. When her sister Elizabeth returned from a trip to London to help her aunt, her father told her he was sending her and Jane to Derbyshire for Jane to recover from her attack. Unexpected things happen to them and the story tells of Jane's recovery. ELIZABETH BENNET: PRODIGY begins with the marriage of Thomas Bennet to Francine Gardiner, the birth of their children and the early life of Elizabeth Bennet who was born with an amazing gift of intelligence. Her father teaches her what he can but a stranger offers her further education. This book relates to us Elizabeth's thoughts during her first ten years. How does her intelligence affect the family? Read and see. The third offering in the anthology is SUFFERING THE CONSEQUENCES, in which Lord Matlock is in a quandary about what to do with his elder son who was spending an idle life at his father's expense. Matlock receives a report that his younger son has been wounded and he wants to go to the expected ship to collect him and take him home. Unfortunately, his wife has been suffering from anxiety and depression concerning her sons. Desperate for someone to stay with her while he is away, he asked Georgiana Darcy's friend Elizabeth to take on the responsibility.
