The portraits contained within Unfulfilled are deeplysensual; in their raw intensity, they capture the subjects' vulnerabilities as well as their spirit. Yet, throughDomino's mastery of and unique sensibility towards color, light and shadow, her photographs present to theviewer as not just portraits, but emotional, visceral landscapes in which subdued feelings emerge, perhapsfeelings of longing, desperation and emptiness, or other feelings of unfulfillment, for, in choosing her subjects,Domino is drawn to darkness as much as to beauty.
