This book promotes an enlightened and humanistic study of the Quran. The following is a short outline of its innovative interpretation of the Quranic revelations. 1.It is an objective guide to the study of the Quran.2.It re-evaluates God's revelations regarding longstanding problems in the Islamic religion. 3.It strives to promote a spiritual awakening. 4.It discusses the ambiguous intertwining of Hadith, Sunnah and Shariah (page 88, sections 5.11 and 5.12). 5.It addresses deep rooted inequities involving gender issues within the Islamic society (chapter 2 and section 5.8.1).In light of all the contradictions, misconceptions and detrimental rhetoric, it is imperative to reexamine the pervasive use of the Hadith, the Sunnah and Shariah instead of the Quranic revelations. At this time in history neither the Quran nor the prophet Muhammad can be held accountable for today's negative global perception of the islamic faith. This book is meant to share the writer's extensive research, cognizant understanding and unique interpretation of the Quranic revelations with the reader, to encourage spiritual growth and to contribute a small measure of peace and harmony to this troubled world.
