Utta Drivel Short Stories Too is a collection of comic short stories most of which were read out at Creative Writing evening classes to much laughter. They cover a wide range of subjects and human experience. From a middle class revolution with its Oik-Finder-General, to Moses - the wilderness years, to yet another bloody toga party in Ancient Rome. From reading the Lumberjack News in a tree surgeon's waiting room, to the disappointing progress of the lady researching EU condom size standardisation, to the Smethwick Hairdresser Wars and their drive-by blow-drys. These stories are interspersed with longer short stories about working in Nigeria, a fun night at the Savoy and imagining that the Victorians invented all of British history. Further short stories ask why you can talk about hubby but not wifey, why you don't get locum teachers, session doctors or supply musicians and whether you become a Master of Wine once you've drunk 10,000 bottles.
