Verbalizing Existence is the latest book of poetry from prolific author Robert Benefiel. The poems written in this book are part of an unmarked trilogy with pieces that stem from a turning point in the author's life. Most of the poems collected here are reflections on work, women, and writing. In this volume the author presents very candid and honest peaks into his life with poems such as Catching Birds, about a young girl trying to catch birds in front of his work, or reminiscing on the people coming and going from each other's lives such as Bob Came Over or 800 Fakes Dead In One Afternoon. Throughout the book the idea of drifting around both physically and mentally permeates the pages, and how one is often forced to interact with humanity to both save and lose their mind.
