Claire Keegan (1968) es una escritora irlandesa destacada por su habilidad para crear relatos de gran profundidad emocional en formatos breves. Criada en una granja en el condado de Wicklow, Irlanda, Keegan estudió Literatura y Ciencias Políticas en Loyola University, Nueva Orleans. Posteriormente, completó una maestría en Escritura Creativa en la Universidad de Gales y un M.Phil. en Trinity College, Dublín. Su obra ha sido traducida a más de 30 idiomas y ha recibido numerosos premios, incluyendo el Rooney Prize for Irish Literature y el Davy Byrnes Irish Writing Award.

Su novela más reciente, Small Things Like These (2021), ambientada en Irlanda en 1985, narra la historia de Bill Furlong, un comerciante de carbón que enfrenta una decisión moral durante la Navidad.
