Amber is a 26-year-old Mulatto woman whose life was forever changed after one day walking into the gas station. Where she enters her name into a raffle at the slight chance of winning an expensive free vacation for her and a group of five to a luxurious home located far south in the town of Brownsville, Mississippi.

Upon the group's arrival, Amber and her friends searched aimlessly for their abode when they stumbled upon a local diner, only to find that they were unwelcome and its occupants weren't too fond of their interracial mingling. Brownsville is a town run predominantly by Blacks, where White folks, along with anyone who associates themselves with them, are subjected to harsh, inhuman, and unjust treatment.

The story continues to unfold once the bemused group of friends finally finds their way to their chambers. They are thunderstruck, astounded, and captivated, unable to remove their eyes from the beautiful sight of the home before them. Although their fascination is short-lived...it doesn't take long for Amber to realize that there is something rather unusual about the insidious domain when she stumbles upon the diary of a young girl. She is left having vivid dreams haunted by the unimaginable horrors suffered at the hands of her evil owner. Amber is confronted with the horrifying reality that the land they'd been living on was once a plantation haunted by the souls of scorned and tormented slaves. When everyone around her starts to slowly disappear.

Amber sets out in search of her loved ones, when she unexpectedly finds answers to questions that have resided inside her ever since she was a child. Leaving her highly disturbed and beyond stunned with the secrets of Brownsville. What starts as a dream vacation quickly spirals into a living nightmare, and it is no longer fun...When the Ravens Got the Gun.
