Bill Morgan was born into a family, which had been involved in aviation from 1911 at the British and Colonial Aeroplane Company. After his schooling in Bristol, he became a student engineering apprentice with BAC and, following works experience, he migrated into civil aircraft product support. There then followed a series of project and commercial posts within the company involving both domestic and European aircraft. Prior to retirement in the 1960s, Bill was involved with corporate development of the U.S. subsidiary in Washington D.C.
