Reseña del libro "Wintersun (en Inglés)"
After years in exile to escape the ghosts of his past; battlemage Markus is drawn back to the world by a young elf mage, Reya searching for powerful allies in battling an imminent and mysterious threat. Taken under his wing as a student Reya may learn that all the tales and songs she heard about Markus in her youth may not have told the whole story. She must learn to separate the story of the fabled battlemage and the reality of her flawed teacher. The pair adventure across the land of Azera, gathering allies and meeting both friend and foe along the way. Over the course of their journey more of their past deeds and histories with their families are revealed. Markus must face his past and learn to step into the future. Reya must discover herself and become her own person, away from the expectations of her family. Elemental magics make fast paced and explosive combat. Each mage attuned to a specific element that influences their fighting styles and abilities. Markus rips through enemies with devastating lightning while Reya controls the battle with ice magic. She is new to her magic and must learn how to control and use it deftly. Markus must learn to be a teacher and not just a warrior. Truths of the world are revealed as the pair meet their mysterious foe, the deep ones, a race of subterranean giants emerging from the depths of the ancient world to remake the surface in their image. Reya takes Markus to deal with the invasion as he has with many other human conflicts, but they discover that the deep ones culture may not allow an easy or traditional resolution. Magic comes alive as ancient mystical beasts awaken from a long slumber due to the events of the deep ones movements. Markus and Reya must deal with dangerous magical creatures from the ancient world on their journey to the invasion point, gathering clues on what may be making these monsters reawaken.
