The ultimate goal of this study is to gain a greater respect and deeper understanding of the word and wisdom of God, and how we can learn to live wisely in a world where the enemy runs rapid & values have been pushed aside for self-pleasure. There are several Biblical books that are classified as 'Wisdom Literature.' Some are: Job, Proverbs, Psalms, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs. Perhaps you will use this information just for personal knowledge; if so, this will encourage you to become closer to the Lord and know what you should do to be in His will. Maybe you are among those that are spiritually in need of guidance; if so, this study will demonstrate that Jesus is the answer to all your questions. Maybe God will use you as a group leader; if so, I believe that this study has scriptures that will guide you to lead others. Maybe you haven't been a Christian long and your commitment and sense of Christian identity seem to drift at times: if so, through the word of God, you will be taught how and why to stay on course. "Today, we have a choice!! We can either develop our "Own-Character" (that is, our own human intellect, emotions, and desires), OR we can develop His "Spiritual-Character" (that is, feeding upon and embrace the principles of God's word); principles which are found in the book of Proverbs. The goal of this teaching is to enable us to recognize the difference between good and evil by the discerning of the spirit, and not by our life experiences. God encourages us to do what is right, just, and fair, no matter what the subject, difficult situation, or problem you may face. His utmost purpose for us is that we be transformed in his image. Being transformed is all about our identity. Seeing yourself through the eyes of God will change your priorities. Knowing who you are in Christ is vital to your wholeness as a believer. This can only be developed by the word of God through faith, the study of the scriptures, and the Holy Spirit."
