Chendo's people, job, and family have manipulated him all his life. He's done and ready to do some manipulating instead. All he needs are the right conditions.

Kailin's two closest partners died during the incident that cost her the use of her legs. Then her government abandoned her in a notorious prison. She has every right to be bitter...but will she allow it to derail her chance at a new life?

Laralei's people are secretive about their home planet, and few ever leave. She's an anomaly among them. Leaving was easy, but finding a place and a family in the wider galaxy?  That's a challenge.
