The implementation of Open Admissions at CUNY led to the development of a unique program of comprehensive services designed to support the Open Admissions student throughout his or her college career. This book discusses that program, with particular emphasis on Hunter College, supplemented by material on Hostos Community College, the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and Medgar Evers College. The authors have been at Hunter College since the inception of the Open Admissions policy and have been personally involved with all of the related programs and procedures.
