Albert Uderzo (Fismes, Francia, 25 de abril de 1927 – Neuilly-sur-Seine, 24 de marzo de 2020) fue un historietista y guionista francés de origen italiano, célebre en todo el mundo como co-creador de Astérix el Galo junto al guionista René Goscinny. Desde joven, Uderzo mostró un talento excepcional para el dibujo y forjó su carrera en revistas infantiles francesas, cautivando con personajes y viñetas llenas de humor e ingenio. Hijo de inmigrantes italianos, su infancia estuvo marcada por el esfuerzo y la creatividad, así como por una temprana fascinación por los héroes de Walt Disney.

En 1959, junto a Goscinny, dio vida a los irreductibles galos Astérix y Obélix en la revista Pilote, personajes que, gracias a su crítica social y referencias históricas, conquistaron a lectores de todas las edades. La serie Astérix, convertida en icono del cómic europeo, fue traducida a decenas de idiomas, vendió cientos de millones de ejemplares y se adaptó tanto al cine como a la televisión, elevando el cómic a la categoría de fenómeno cultural global.
