Steve Orlando es un escritor de cómics estadounidense nacido el 14 de agosto de 1985 en Syracuse, Nueva York. Desde joven, mostró un interés profundo por la escritura y el arte, participando en convenciones y buscando oportunidades en la industria del cómic. Estudió en el Hamilton College, donde se especializó en estudios rusos y escritura creativa. Durante su tiempo en la universidad, trabajó en su primer proyecto de cómic largo, Undertow, que fue publicado en 2014.

A lo largo de su carrera, Orlando ha trabajado para diversas editoriales importantes, incluyendo DC Comics, Marvel, Image Comics, AfterShock y Dynamite Entertainment. Es especialmente conocido por su trabajo en títulos como Midnighter, Wonder Woman, Batman/The Shadow y Scarlet Witch. Su enfoque en personajes LGBTQ+ ha sido aclamado, y su serie Midnighter recibió nominaciones a los premios GLAAD Media Awards.

Además de su trabajo en cómics, Orlando ha incursionado en otros medios. Ha escrito para revistas como National Geographic y Hello Mr., y participó en la cuarta temporada de la serie animada Ben 10.
