The first Coven was held in the crater made by Alok the Arch-Angel when he fell down from heaven. The ground zero of the fall is at Ile-ife, present day Nigeria - the legend persists even today among Yoruba people. From the Alok's crater, relics, mostly stones are taken to institute other covens around the world. Daniel Essien rents a flat in a mansion haunted by one of such covens. Was his moving into the flat pre-arranged, since his late grandfather was a Covenite in that very Coven? Within a few days living in that mansion, alone, Daniel becomes inducted into the activities of the Coven. He likes the teachings that he gets from both his mentor and spiritual godfather. But before the end of his first year in Coven, everything goes wrong. Daniel knows that he must leave the Coven as soon as possible but that would be after he must have returned, somehow, the blow meted at him by a fellow Covenite. But the problem is; no one leaves the Coven and lives to talk about it. And in Daniel's case, the Coven seems obliged to protect their member that spitted on Daniel.
