When Anita goes to visit her grandmother in Brazil she buys herself a beautiful new hair tie, Flor, to add to her collection of hair accessories back at home in Dallas.But when she opens her drawer and places her new hair tie inside the other hair accessories are not exactly welcoming and despite her friendly and outgoing personality, Flor soon finds herself an object of ridicule and curls up in the corner of the drawer.As the days pass, Flor sees that Uni, a brightly colored unicorn hair tie is Anita's favorite, and she is selected day after day. One day, however, Anita discovers that Uni has a loose piece of string and chooses another tie instead. Before long there are concerns in the drawer that Anita is going to have a clear-out and fear spreads as the hair accessories wonder which of them will be thrown out.But Flor has a plan to save the day. It will require her and Uni doing something they never could have imagined but it just might work. And if it does they will get to spend many more days in the sun with Anita.
