Richard Chizmar (Maryland, 1965) es un escritor, editor y guionista estadounidense, reconocido por su labor en el género de terror y misterio. Es fundador y editor de la editorial Cemetery Dance Publications, especializada en literatura de horror. Su obra ha sido publicada en medios como Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine y The Year's 25 Finest Crime and Mystery Stories. Ha sido galardonado con dos World Fantasy Awards, cuatro International Horror Guild Awards y el premio de la Horror Writers Association.

Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentra la trilogía de Gwendy, coescrita con Stephen King: La caja de botones de Gwendy (2017), La pluma mágica de Gwendy (2019) y La última misión de Gwendy (2022). Además, ha publicado novelas como Billy's Day (1988), Blue (1998), The Interview (1999), After the Bombs (2015) y Memorials (2024). Stephen King (Portland, Maine, 21 de septiembre de 1947) es uno de los autores más influyentes y prolíficos de la literatura contemporánea, célebre por revitalizar el género del terror y conquistar a millones de lectores en todo el mundo. Se graduó en Lengua Inglesa por la Universidad de Maine y trabajó como profesor antes de dedicarse por completo a la escritura tras el éxito de su primera novela, Carrie (1974). Desde entonces, ha publicado más de 60 novelas y cientos de relatos cortos, muchos bajo el seudónimo Richard Bachman, con títulos emblemáticos como El resplandor, IT, Misery, La torre oscura, Cementerio de animales y La milla verde, muchos de ellos adaptados exitosamente al cine y la televisión. Su narrativa, caracterizada por explorar los rincones más oscuros de la mente humana y de la sociedad, ha vendido más de 500 millones de ejemplares y ha sido traducida a decenas de idiomas.
