Two promising detectives are brought together on a case. One of them is brilliant but strange DI Matthew Potts, whose reputable career speaks for itself. Her passion for justice makes her entranced by the case, although her strange partner often tests her morals. The crime took place in a quiet village in rural Wiltshire. The body of a notorious armed robber turns up only a day after he is released from police custody. The potential suspects are endless, and it is the job of DI Potts and DS Jones to track down who is responsible. When the MO of the murder rules out vengeance the detectives begin to realise there is much more to Wiltshire's criminal underworld than first believed. It comes to light that there is far more motive behind the robber's murder than what it appears, and the detectives are soon tested to the limit both in their professional partnership and their determination for justice to be served.
