Alices Adventures in Wonderland is a summer tale published by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) for the first time in July 1865. Nicholas Williams translated this into Irish under the title Eachtraí Eilíse i dTír na nIontas (Evertype 2007). Many of the characters and adventures in that book belong to a pack of cards. Lastall den Scáthán agus a bhFuair Eilís Ann Roimpi-a winter tale-is Williams Irish translation of Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, which Carroll first published in December 1871. Its characters and adventures are based on a game of chess.
