Sigmund Freud (1856-1939) fue un neurólogo austriaco y el fundador del psicoanálisis. Su obra se enmarca dentro del género de la psicología y la filosofía de la mente, revolucionando la comprensión del inconsciente. Entre sus libros más influyentes se encuentran La interpretación de los sueños (1899), Tres ensayos sobre teoría sexual (1905) y El malestar en la cultura (1930).
