Santiago Gamboa (Colombia, 1965) es un escritor y periodista colombiano nacido en Bogotá. Estudió Literatura en la Universidad Javeriana y Filología Hispánica en la Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, además de especializarse en literatura cubana en la Sorbona. Debutó con la novela Páginas de vuelta y ha publicado títulos relevantes como Perder es cuestión de método, El síndrome de Ulises, Necrópolis (Premio La Otra Orilla) y Volver al oscuro valle. Su obra ha sido traducida a múltiples idiomas y ha recibido premios como el Rómulo Gallegos y el Medicis. Ha trabajado como corresponsal y columnista en diversos medios internacionales y vive actualmente en Italia.
