This book proposes an approach to the various factors that produce harmful effects on the psychosomatic health of nursing staff working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Dealing with such situations can lead to emotional and physical disorders. Stress is considered to be any change in the environment that is threatening, harmful or tense, causing an imbalance in the individual who then feels or becomes incapable of carrying out tasks in this situation. This stimulus is the stressor. This book investigates the factors that generate stress for nursing staff. Through personal experience and intensive bibliographical research, the author describes the stress factors present in the nursing team, as well as indicating ways to mitigate their causative agents.
