Families are in disarray and some torn apart. Jobs are few and far between. Those with jobs are often unhappy, underpaid and unproductive beyond the workplace. Social opportunities are generally child's play in competitive leisures, after school extra curricular activities or parent low interest activities. Our lives are being consumed with unpleasant routines. Donita travels back to many of the childhood teachings that her Mamma, Henrietta Thomas, poured into her. Her grandfather, William Ridley, Sunday School teachers and neighbors also poured many rich scriptures, wives tales, adages and quotes into her that she uses in a very balanced and joyful life today. You will find yourself laughing, crying and thinking through each page. Each entry is written to encourage, inspire, motivate and challenge you to find your life joys and balances that you are within you. Donita Banks demonstrates that a simple, Christian life decreases the heartaches and pains of what others think...what others have...what others do. To please God brings the inner happiness that the world seeks. To please God gives us Godly spouses and families. To please God allows us to be happy in unpleasant work environments. To please God allows us to be Christians rather than church goers. To please God allows us to know that we know that we are His child and no devil in hell can do anything about it. Donita Banks has served as a Sunday School Teacher since being in 8th grade. She is Youth Minister at Union Baptist Church, Silsbee, Texas. She recently retired from 30 years of Kindergarten experiences. God has richly poured into Donita through wonderful people. It is her prayer to return the blessings by #pouringintoyou.
