This book is a personal testimony and based upon my religious experience. In it, I share Qur'anic verses (ayat) that have been an inspiration to me throughout my life. I share verses that continue to bring me peace, joy, comfort, and spiritual healing. I pray that these verses will touch your life as they have mine. This work is the direct result of several inspired years working with caregivers from various professions. These professions and caregivers include and not limited to: Imams and Islamic Community members, chaplains, counselors, healthcare and social workers, mental health workers, substance abusers, and persons seeking a fuller understanding of the religion of Al-Islam. Although I intend the book for persons giving spiritual and emotional care to Muslims, there are people who cherish general religious material who may find it of interest. This book is a companion to my book Careginving to Muslims: A Guide for Chaplains, Counselors, Healthcare and Social Wokers. I specifically recommend the use of the book as part of the substance use disorder/recovery process. It can supplement 12 Step Programs. This is especially true in terms of turning one's life over to a higher power. It also can be useful to Muslim and Non-Muslim Chaplains in hospitals, nursing homes, and prisons. Teaching hospitals and Clinical Pastoral Education/Training professions may find the book of particular interest. And, I encourage its use by workers in mental health settings and therapeutic communities
